Description

East-West Walk & Flinders Peak – You Yangs Regional Park

Although only 34o metres high, the granite peaks of the You Yangs rise dramatically from the surrounding volcanic plains between Melbourne and Geelong. Our hike combines two iconic You Yangs walks – the East-West circuit and Flinders Peak both of which offer impressive open vistas together with interesting boulder formations. We will look down over the impressive geoglyph depicting Bunjil, the traditional Creator Spirit of Wada warrung Aboriginal people, which was created by artist Andrew Rogers to commemorate the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. And if we’re lucky we might also see some a koala or two!

Mindfulness exercises and delicious whole foods snacks and lunch will be enjoyed along the way.
